Blinky's Pre-School

LICENCED

We are licenced to cater for children 0-6 years of age.

HOURS

Children can attend Monday-Friday, 7 am to 6 pm at any time within this period.  The centre is open the whole year except for public holidays

FEES

Fees may change with time; Please refer to the current Fee Schedule posted at the Parents Notice board.  The centre is accredited by the NCAC and therefore parents that are eligible to claim for CCB% from the Family Assistance Office (Centerlink) may do so to obtain a  fee subsidy.  Most families only pay a small fraction of the daily fee, after subsidy.  Families must apply with Centrelink prior to receiving this. 

PAYMENT

The family fee is payable weekly and always 2 weeks in advance.  If families find it more convenient they may pay for longer periods of time.  Fees are places in an envelope in the fee  box and signed in on the fee sheet at the centre with a staff also signing in.  You may pay by Eftpos, Cheque, Cash, Direct Debit, Direct Transfer or Credit Card over the phone.

ATTENDANCE

Fees are paid for the days you child is booked into the centre, including times when your child is absemt due to illness or holidays.  Two full weeks notice (Mon-Fri) must be given when cancelling days or withdrawing a child.  Four full weeks notice is required if cancelling in December. 

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parents are always welcome in the centre, just come in anytime.  Parents can be involved with the centre in many ways; by helping staff with the children for a few minutes or even a few hours. 

Parents can also be involved in developing policies for the centre, fundraising, suggesting improvements, etc.  All parents are welcome to attend our parent-staff meetings.  The minutes if Meetings are available on the noticeboards. Also newsletter, suggestion box, communication book are used to foster the parent-staff partnership in caring for children.

THE STAFF

Consists of several people working as a team; Early Childhood, Childcare worker, Assitance Teachers, and Director.  Staff trained as multicultural and special needs workers work part-time in the centre.  We also train students.
